Senator and former federal judge Sergio Moro leads all simulated first- and second-round match-ups for the 2026 Paraná gubernatorial election, according to a survey released on Tuesday by the Instituto Paraná Pesquisas. In the principal first-round scenario, Moro captures 43.8% of voter intentions, well ahead of federal deputy Beto Richa’s 17.5% and state deputy Requião Filho’s 16.5%. Alternate scenarios that replace the PSD candidate put Rafael Greca at 19.5% or Alexandre Curi at 9.5%, with Moro still above 38%. Second-round simulations deepen the advantage. Moro would defeat Guto Silva by 62.7% to 16.9% and Alexandre Curi by 58% to 25.3%. Even when those rivals are endorsed by incumbent governor Ratinho Jr., Moro maintains double-digit leads. The poll interviewed 1,540 eligible voters in 62 municipalities between 3 and 6 July. It carries a margin of error of 2.5 percentage points and a 95% confidence level. The same survey shows Ratinho Jr.’s administration approved by 81.4% of respondents, with 67% rating it good or excellent.
