A double-decker bus carrying high school and college students crashed into the River Itchen in Eastleigh, Hampshire, on June 26, 2025. The bus left the road, broke through railings, and plunged into the river. Emergency services including two helicopters and five ambulances responded to the scene. At least 17 people were injured in the incident, with three classified as high-priority patients and taken to hospital. The driver and four teenagers were among those hospitalized, while more than a dozen others sustained minor injuries. The bus was operated by Bluestar and was transporting students at the time of the crash.
