Elon Musk has dropped to the fourth position in the 2025 Fortune 100 Most Powerful ranking, down from the top spot last year. His previous ranking was attributed not only to his leadership roles at Tesla, SpaceX, xAI, and X but also to his involvement in the Trump Administration. In public opinion, Musk holds a 33% favorable rating against a 61% unfavorable rating according to a recent Gallup poll. Among other public figures, Pope Leo XIV leads with a 57% favorable rating, followed by Volodymyr Zelenskyy at 52%. Donald Trump’s favorability stands at 41% favorable and 57% unfavorable. The latest YouGov polling for Westminster voting intention shows the Reform Movement at 27%, Labour at 21%, Conservatives at 17%, Liberal Democrats at 15%, Greens at 11%, and SNP at 3%. Government approval ratings remain low, with 13% approval and 67% disapproval. A generic ballot poll from YouGov indicates Democrats leading with 44% compared to Republicans at 38%. Additionally, Trump faces low approval ratings on specific issues: 18% approval on handling the Epstein matter, 31% on tariffs, and 31% on inflation, with disapproval ratings of 70%, 63%, and 63%, respectively.
Elon Musk topped last year’s #Fortune100MostPowerful not only because of his roles at Tesla, SpaceX, xAI and X, but also because of his work in the Trump Administration. That changed. This year, Musk is No. 4. https://t.co/0tZm2x29jP

“Trump is at 18% approval, 70% disapproval on his handling of the Epstein matter. He’s also at 31% approval, 63% disapproval, on the issue of tariffs and on that of inflation—our old friend from the Biden presidency which may well bedevil Trump, too.” https://t.co/uEXENQ8gpU
