Manchester United have completed the signing of Slovenia striker Benjamin Sesko from Germany’s RB Leipzig, the Premier League club announced on Saturday. Sesko, 22, has agreed a contract running to June 2030. The deal is valued at €76.5 million in guaranteed payments with a further €8.5 million in performance-related bonuses, taking the total package to about €85 million (£73.7 million). Standing 1.95 metres tall, Sesko scored 39 goals in 87 appearances for Leipzig after joining from Red Bull Salzburg in 2023, including 21 goals last season. He has 16 goals in 41 caps for Slovenia. “The history of Manchester United is obviously very special but what really excites me is the future,” he said in a club statement. His arrival completes manager Ruben Amorim’s rebuild of the attack following the acquisitions of Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo, while left-back Diego Leon has also joined. United have spent roughly £200 million this summer as they attempt to rebound from last season’s 15th-place Premier League finish. The four new signings were presented to supporters at Old Trafford ahead of a friendly against Fiorentina.
