Apple is expected to hold its annual hardware launch on 9 September, when it will introduce the iPhone 17 family, according to carrier timetables and multiple analyst notes. Pre-orders are due to begin 12 September, with first deliveries and in-store sales pencilled in for 19 September. This year’s line-up is set to comprise four models: the iPhone 17, an ultra-thin iPhone 17 Air, the iPhone 17 Pro and the iPhone 17 Pro Max. Leaks point to larger 6.3- to 6.9-inch displays, a new A19 processor across the range and, for the Pro versions, a redesigned rear camera bar that doubles as an antenna housing to enhance 5G and Wi-Fi reception. Pricing in the United States is projected to start at $799 for the base model—unchanged from last year—while the Air is tipped to come in near $949. Analysts including GF Securities’ Jeff Pu expect the Pro and Pro Max to rise by about $50 each to roughly $1,049 and $1,249, respectively, citing more expensive components and higher U.S. import duties. Indian retail prices could climb to about ₹1.65 lakh for the top-end model. The anticipated price increases would be Apple’s first on its Pro tier since 2017 and could boost the iPhone’s average selling price ahead of the critical holiday quarter. Final specifications and tariffs’ impact on regional pricing will become clear once Apple confirms details at the September event.
