Warner Bros. Discovery has unveiled the corporate identities and top leadership for the two businesses it plans to create through a previously announced break-up. The streaming and studios operation—home to Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group, HBO, HBO Max, DC Studios and related gaming assets—will simply be called “Warner Bros.” The cable and international networks division, which houses CNN, TNT Sports, Discovery and the Discovery+ service, will adopt the name “Discovery Global.” Current Warner Bros. Discovery President and Chief Executive Officer David Zaslav will lead the new Warner Bros. entity, while current Chief Financial Officer Gunnar Wiedenfels will become President and CEO of Discovery Global. A search is under way for a chief financial officer for Warner Bros., and additional senior roles for both companies are being filled. The separation, aimed at sharpening strategic focus for the distinct businesses, is expected to be completed in mid-2026, subject to customary approvals.
