Digital-media publisher Dotdash Meredith has changed its corporate name to People Inc., adopting the title of its flagship celebrity and entertainment magazine to sharpen its brand identity and signal the next phase of growth. Chief Executive Neil Vogel said the new moniker "tells our story in a single word" and aligns the business with its most widely recognised asset. The shift ends the hybrid label created after Dotdash bought Meredith for about $2.7 billion in 2021, a merger that brought together legacy lifestyle periodicals such as Better Homes & Gardens with Dotdash’s digital properties. The rebrand takes effect immediately and comes days before parent company IAC is scheduled to report quarterly earnings. Vogel indicated the company will continue to diversify revenue across digital advertising, e-commerce and licensing, while accelerating real-time service journalism across its portfolio.
Media conglomerate $IAC reports earnings Monday. Just made interesting announcement though. The Dotdash Meredith unit is being rebranded as People Inc. Recognition of the popular flagship print and digital magazine.
