Calgary police are investigating a stabbing on the Stampede midway that left three people in serious condition late Tuesday. Officers were called just after 11 p.m. to the area near the Euroslide ride, where they found a man with life-threatening injuries. He was taken to Foothills Hospital and remains in stable condition. Shortly afterward, a youth was located near 17th Avenue S.E. and Macleod Trail S.E., and another man was found near Erlton Street S.W. and 27th Avenue S.W. Both were also transported to Foothills Hospital with serious but stable injuries. Police believe all three victims were attacked in the same incident on the midway. Investigators say the assault was targeted rather than random, but no arrests have been made. Detectives are reviewing witness statements and cellphone video and are urging anyone with information to contact the Calgary Police Service or submit tips anonymously to Crime Stoppers.
