Police in Minnesota’s Twin Cities are investigating a series of shootings between late Friday night and early Saturday that left one man dead and at least five other people wounded, one critically. In Minneapolis, firefighters were flagged down around 11:20 p.m. Friday in the 2700 block of Bloomington Avenue after bystanders found a man in his 20s with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to hospital and later died. Detectives recovered evidence of multiple shots fired; no suspects have been identified. About three hours later, officers were alerted to Abbott Northwestern Hospital, where a gunshot victim with life-threatening injuries had been dropped off. A second man with non-life-threatening wounds arrived shortly after at Hennepin Healthcare. Investigators traced both victims to the 300 block of Lake Street West and collected ballistic evidence at the scene. No arrests have been made. St. Paul police reported two separate shootings that injured three people between late Friday and early Saturday. All the victims were hospitalized with injuries described as non-life-threatening. Authorities in both cities have appealed for public assistance as they continue to investigate the unrelated incidents.
