The 16th Annual Meeting of the New Champions, also known as the 2025 Summer Davos Forum, was held from June 24 to 26 in Tianjin Municipality, North China. Premier of the State Council Li Qiang attended the forum from June 24 to 25, delivering a keynote speech at the opening plenary, meeting with foreign guests, and engaging in discussions with business entrepreneurs. Key topics covered during the forum included deciphering the world economy, China's economic outlook, industry shifts, green investment, new energy, climate action, sustainable development, technological breakthroughs, and the role of Asia in the global economy. Tianjin, as the host city, showcased its "Smart Port + Eco-City" model and illuminated its nightscape to welcome attendees. The forum concluded on June 26 after three days of discussions involving officials, scholars, and business leaders, highlighting China's role as a driver of global economic growth and emphasizing the importance of international cooperation in an evolving multipolar economic landscape.
