A naval fleet of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Navy, led by the aircraft carrier Shandong, conducted a five-day visit to the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region from July 3 to July 7, 2025. The fleet included the aircraft carrier Shandong, guided missile destroyers Yan'an and Zhanjiang, and the guided missile frigate Yuncheng. This marked the first visit of China's first domestically built aircraft carrier, the CNS Shandong, to Hong Kong waters.
