Nvidia Chief Executive Officer Jensen Huang said the chipmaker is in discussions with the Trump administration to obtain approval to sell its most advanced Blackwell-series artificial-intelligence processor to customers in China, according to an interview broadcast by Fox News on Aug. 28. Huang added that the company is prepared to give the U.S. government a share of the revenue generated from any Blackwell sales in China. He said he wants American technology to remain the global benchmark in the same way the U.S. dollar dominates world finance. The talks come as Washington maintains strict export controls on high-performance semiconductors destined for China. Nvidia has previously explored developing scaled-down chips to comply with the rules, and President Donald Trump has signaled he could allow a less powerful version of the next-generation processor into the Chinese market.
