Colombian authorities have issued an Interpol Red Notice for Elder José Arteaga Hernández, known as 'El Costeño', who is identified as the main planner behind the assassination attempt on Senator and presidential pre-candidate Miguel Uribe Turbay. The notice was issued for charges including attempted aggravated homicide, conspiracy, and illegal possession of weapons. Following an extensive and coordinated operation, 'El Costeño' was captured in Bogotá. He is considered a key logistical leader and the link to the intellectual authors of the attack, which occurred approximately one month ago. The arrest is expected to advance the investigation into the case and clarify the involvement of other suspects.
