Costco Wholesale Corp. reported that net sales for the five-week retail month of June rose 8.0% from a year earlier to $26.44 billion, signaling renewed momentum after a modest slowdown earlier in the year. Companywide comparable sales increased 5.8%, or 6.2% when adjusted for gasoline prices and foreign-exchange fluctuations. Growth was broad-based: U.S. comparable sales advanced 4.7%, Canada gained 6.7%, and other international markets jumped 10.9%. Online demand remained robust, with e-commerce revenue climbing 11.5% year on year. For the first 44 weeks of the fiscal year, net sales totalled $227.46 billion, up 8.0% from the same period in 2024. Costco now operates 907 warehouses worldwide, giving the retailer a platform to capitalise on continued strength in membership traffic and discretionary categories such as jewellery and gift cards.
