Police in Aurora, Illinois, are searching for a gunman who shot and wounded two men during what investigators described as a domestic dispute early Sunday. Officers responding shortly after 6 a.m. found the victims near a basketball court in the 500 block of Station Boulevard; one was listed in critical condition and the other suffered non-life-threatening injuries, authorities said. Investigators believe the altercation was isolated to the parties involved but urged residents in the immediate area to stay indoors while the search continues. The suspect is described as a Black man in his mid-20s with short dreadlocks, about six feet tall and thin, last seen wearing all-black clothing that may include a quarter-zip hoodie. The incident prompted a large police presence and travel disruptions. Metra halted BNSF commuter trains #2006, #2008, #2009 and #2010 near Route 59, and drivers were asked to avoid Station Boulevard and surrounding streets until the scene is cleared. Anyone with information on the suspect’s whereabouts is asked to call 911 or contact the Aurora Police Department at 630-256-5000.
