U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents arrested Olvin Mauricio Martinez Coto, a 36-year-old Honduran fugitive listed among Honduras’ top 10 most wanted criminals. Martinez Coto was apprehended in Westbury, Long Island, after entering the United States illegally for the third time. He had previously been deported in 2007 and again in 2019 during the Trump administration. Martinez Coto fled Honduras to avoid prosecution and had been roaming Long Island undetected. Separately, another Honduran national, Hugo Gomez-Soto, residing in Portland, Oregon, has been federally charged with distributing fentanyl and causing a fatality. Gomez-Soto has pleaded not guilty.
