Los Angeles police have arrested four members of an alleged burglary crew in connection with a series of break-ins that include the 25 June ransacking of actor Brad Pitt’s Los Feliz home, authorities confirmed on Tuesday. Investigators said the crew, detained late last week in South Los Angeles, targeted affluent neighbourhoods across Southern California rather than Pitt specifically. Surveillance and witness accounts indicate at least three intruders scaled a fence, smashed a front window and searched the mid-century modern residence while the actor was in London promoting his film "F1." Police have not disclosed what was stolen. Two of the suspects, identified in court filings as Jaquory Arman Watson and Damari Zair Charles, both 18, pleaded not guilty to first-degree burglary on Monday; prosecutors are weighing further charges. The property, bought for roughly $5.5 million in 2023, was left with significant damage, according to law-enforcement sources. The case will be presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney. The burglary is the latest in a string of high-profile home invasions in the region, which has also seen residences linked to Nicole Kidman, Keith Urban and Dodgers pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto targeted in recent months.
