LAPD Probes Double Homicide After Bodies Found in Encino Home
Los Angeles police have opened a double-homicide investigation after a man and a woman were discovered with gunshot wounds to the head inside an upscale Encino residence, authorities said. Officers responded to a welfare check about 2:30 p.m. Monday at a home on the 4700 block of White Oak Avenue and pronounced both victims dead at the scene, according to LAPD Detective Meghan Aguilar. Their identities and relationship have not been disclosed. Police received separate reports of gunfire at the same address around midnight, but it remains unclear how officers handled that earlier call. No suspect information or motive has been released, and investigators continued to canvass the neighborhood on Tuesday.
