Over 200 Teens Overrun Upscale Chicago Suburb Pool, Shove Lifeguard; Police Investigate Fireworks and Drugs

Over the recent holiday weekend, a public pool in an upscale suburb west of Chicago was overwhelmed by a large group of over 200 teenagers, prompting a police investigation. The crowd engaged in disruptive and unsafe behavior, including setting off fireworks in the pool, bringing marijuana and alcohol, and stealing from other attendees. Lifeguard Christine Guinta-Mayer was reportedly shoved into the pool and taunted by the crowd. Video footage from the event also showed individuals urinating in a stranger's yard and dancing in the street, causing distress among local residents. Authorities are currently looking into the incident, which has been described as a "teen takeover."
