New York City police are searching for a young woman who fatally stabbed 16-year-old Aliyah Williams during an altercation inside Deli Grocery on Boston Road in the Williamsbridge section of the Bronx, according to preliminary NYPD findings. Officers were called to the store shortly before 4 p.m. Tuesday and found Williams with multiple stab wounds to her head and torso. She was taken to Jacobi Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Investigators say the dispute began when Williams threw water at another girl, who then drew a knife and attacked. The assailant fled on foot wearing all-black clothing, white sneakers and a red or pink head covering; the weapon has not been recovered. No arrests have been made. Police are canvassing the area and asking anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers. The homicide comes as the 47th Precinct, which covers northern Bronx neighborhoods including Williamsbridge, has recorded six killings so far this year, up from four at the same point in 2024.
