Egyptian Interior Ministry: Hasm Movement Plans Hostile Attacks; Two Militants, Civilian Killed in Greater Cairo Shootout

The Egyptian Interior Ministry has reported that the Hasm movement, affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood abroad, is preparing and planning to resume hostile activities within Egypt. The group is reportedly targeting security and economic facilities across the country. Authorities identified Yahya El-Sayed Ibrahim Mohamed Mousa as one of the main planners and a key founder of Hasm, overseeing its armed structure. In a recent security operation in a Greater Cairo neighborhood, Egyptian security forces killed two suspected Hasm militants during a shootout. Additionally, a civilian was killed due to random gunfire from Hasm members directed at security forces.
