China Willing to Import European Products, Urges EU to Relax High-Tech Export Restrictions, Opposes EU-Taiwan Talks, Calls on Japan on Taiwan
China's Foreign Ministry has expressed willingness to import more high-quality European products, emphasizing that the argument of overcapacity is a one-sided and protectionist perspective on supply and demand. The ministry also urged the European Union to relax restrictions on exports of high-tech products to China. In diplomatic matters, China called on Japan to adhere to agreements concerning Taiwan's status, urging Japan to act prudently and avoid sending signals supporting Taiwan independence. Additionally, China strongly opposed Japan's allowance of a visit by Lin Chia-lung, head of Taiwan’s foreign affairs department. Furthermore, China's diplomatic mission to the European Union criticized certain EU Parliament members for violating the one-China principle and interfering in China's internal affairs. The mission firmly opposed any official exchanges between the European Parliament and Taiwan authorities, calling on the European Parliament to uphold the EU’s pledge to China. China also reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding its sovereignty, security, and development interests while maintaining market fairness.
