The deliberations have intensified since Combs was convicted on 2 July of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, while being acquitted of more serious sex-trafficking and racketeering charges. Combs, 55, has been held at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center since his arrest in September 2024 and faces a potential prison term of up to 20 years at his sentencing on 3 October before U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian. His lawyers this week renewed a motion for release on a $50 million bond, arguing the conduct should not warrant incarceration.
