The Cofidis cycling team, participating in the 2025 Tour de France, was the victim of a burglary during the night following the first stage of the race in Lille, northern France. Eleven high-value bikes, each valued between €10,000 and €15,000, were stolen from the team's truck despite security measures. The total estimated loss exceeded €100,000. Over the following days, five of the stolen bicycles were found abandoned near the team's hotel, and eventually, all eleven bikes were recovered. Authorities have launched an investigation to identify the perpetrators. The recovery of the bikes ensures that the Cofidis riders will continue the Tour de France with their original equipment.
