FC Nantes has agreed to send goalkeeper Alban Lafont on a season-long loan to Panathinaïkos in the Greek Super League, according to multiple reports. The deal contains no option for the Athens club to buy the 26-year-old, who remains under contract with Nantes until June 2027. Lafont, a former France Under-21 international, lost his starting job last season and has not played a Ligue 1 match since 24 November against Le Havre. In a separate move, Nantes is finalising the arrival of Moroccan striker Youssef El-Arabi on a free transfer. The 38-year-old, who left APOEL Nicosia this summer, is expected to sign a one-year contract as the club looks to add experience and goals to its attack.
