At the 2025 FedEx St. Jude Championship held at TPC Southwind in Memphis, Justin Rose secured his 12th PGA Tour victory after a dramatic final round and a sudden-death playoff against J.J. Spaun. Tommy Fleetwood led for much of the tournament and into the final round, holding a one-shot lead over Rose and others after the third round. Despite a strong performance with birdies late in the round, Fleetwood fell short, finishing just behind the leaders. Rose staged a remarkable comeback with four consecutive birdies to tie the lead on the final hole, forcing a playoff with Spaun. The playoff extended to three sudden-death holes, with Rose clinching the win on the third hole with a clutch birdie. At 45 years old, Rose became the oldest PGA Tour winner this season and added $3.6 million to his career earnings, which now exceed $73 million. The victory also places Rose among the PGA Tour's top career money earners. Scottie Scheffler, who finished tied for third, is currently favored to win the upcoming BMW Championship, the second event in the FedExCup playoffs.
