🇬🇷🔥 Kostas Antetokounmpo becomes the latest addition to the list of players who have played for both Greek giants https://t.co/4o6OUGP5pR
Olympiacos Basketball Club has signed 28-year-old Greek center Kostas Antetokounmpo to a two-year contract, the club announced on Thursday. The move brings the 2.08-metre big man back to the EuroLeague and makes him one of the few players to have represented both of Greece’s traditional powerhouses, Olympiacos and Panathinaikos. Antetokounmpo joins from Spain’s UCAM Murcia, where he averaged 4.4 points and 3.5 rebounds per game in the ACB last season after helping Panathinaikos clinch the 2024 EuroLeague title earlier in the year. The younger brother of NBA star Giannis Antetokounmpo is expected to back up Serbian center Nikola Milutinov as coach Giorgos Bartzokas strengthens the club’s domestic core ahead of the 2025-26 campaign. The former Los Angeles Laker, who won an NBA championship ring in 2020, has also logged EuroLeague stints with ASVEL and Fenerbahce and spells in the NBA G-League. Financial terms of his new deal were not disclosed.
