Real Madrid Baloncesto has signed French guard Théo Maledon on a two-year contract running to 30 June 2027. The 24-year-old arrives from LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne after a breakout EuroLeague campaign in which he averaged 17 points, 3.5 rebounds and 4.6 assists and was voted into the competition’s Second Team. Maledon, a former No. 34 pick in the 2020 NBA draft, played 177 games across stints with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Charlotte Hornets and Phoenix Suns before returning to Europe last season. His trophy cabinet already includes a French league and cup double with ASVEL in 2019 and a silver medal with France at EuroBasket 2022. The deal comes hours after Bosnian swingman Džanan Musa’s departure from the Spanish champions, signalling the first major move in Real Madrid’s roster rebuild for the 2025-26 season.
