Apple Inc. has significantly increased its iPhone production in India during early 2025, with the country now accounting for approximately 16-17% of global iPhone output. Production in India surged by 53% year-over-year to 23.9 million units in the early months of 2025. This marks a substantial rise from negligible levels just a few years ago. Industry analysts project that India could represent up to 25% of Apple's global iPhone production by 2027. Additionally, half of the iPhones sold in the United States last quarter were sourced from India, underscoring the country's growing role in Apple's manufacturing and supply chain strategy.
