Despite this growth, the overall Chinese smartphone market declined by 2.4% year-on-year in Q2 2025 to 69 million units, according to Counterpoint and IDC data. Huawei reclaimed the top position in China's smartphone market for the first time in over four years during Q2 2025, capturing an 18.1% market share, followed by Vivo, Oppo, and Xiaomi. Apple ranked fifth in the Chinese market with a 13.9% share. Counterpoint data also showed that Apple's China sales declined 1.6% year-over-year in Q2 2025, while Huawei's sales increased by 17.6%.
