India’s two largest e-commerce platforms, Amazon and Flipkart, have rolled out steep discounts on recent flagship and upper-midrange smartphones, intensifying price competition ahead of July’s online shopping events. Flipkart has trimmed the Motorola Edge 60 Pro’s sticker price by Rs14,000 when combined with bank cashback and exchange bonuses. The handset, introduced in April at Rs29,999, can now cost as little as Rs25,999 for customers using a Flipkart Axis Bank credit card, and potentially Rs15,799 after maximum exchange benefits. Amazon, meanwhile, is advertising the OnePlus 12 at Rs45,999 in the run-up to its annual Prime Day promotion, marking one of the model’s lowest listings since its January debut. TimesNow reports similar markdowns on Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Ultra, S24 Ultra and S23 series, although exact figures were not disclosed. The parallel offers signal heightened competition among online retailers and handset makers seeking to spur mid-year sales in a market where premium devices have faced slower demand growth.
