Vivo has expanded its 2025 line-up in India with the launch of the X Fold 5 and the X200 FE, aiming to capture both the premium foldable and upper-mid-range segments. The X Fold 5, offered in a single 16 GB RAM / 512 GB storage configuration, is priced at Rs 1,49,999. The compact X200 FE starts at Rs 54,999, with sales commencing this week through Vivo’s online store, major e-commerce platforms and authorised retail partners. While detailed specifications for the X Fold 5 were not disclosed at the event, the X200 FE is positioned as a performance-oriented handset built around MediaTek’s Dimensity 9300+ processor. The phone includes a 50-megapixel rear camera array, a 6.31-inch pOLED screen that peaks at 5,000 nits, a 6,500 mAh battery and 90 W wired charging, which Vivo says can deliver three hours of video playback after a 10-minute top-up. With these releases, Vivo is challenging Samsung’s Galaxy Z series at the high end and contending with OnePlus, Xiaomi and others in the sub-Rs 60,000 bracket, ahead of India’s crucial festival-season sales cycle.
