Amazon is selling 'phenomenal' $230 active noise-canceling headphones for $95 for Prime Day https://t.co/r7yxOWtJQK
Amazon opened its two-day Prime Day campaign on 9 July with steep markdowns on audio hardware, led by Sony’s noise-canceling headphone range. The WH-1000XM4 over-ears, a former flagship still praised for 30-hour battery life and strong active noise cancellation, fell to about $182, nearly half their typical price. Sony’s lighter WH-CH720N model dropped to $78, a 48 percent discount, while smaller cuts were applied to newer WH-1000XM5 and WH-1000XM6 units. Competing brands are joining the promotion. Skullcandy’s Crusher ANC 2 wireless headphones are listed at $95, a $135 reduction, offering up to 50-hour battery life and adjustable bass. Amazon is also using the event to clear inventory of its own devices. In Europe, the latest Echo Show 5 smart display slid from €90.08 to €64.99, its lowest recorded price, and an Echo Pop speaker bundled with a smart LED bulb is 56 percent off. The aggressive pricing underscores Amazon’s push to stimulate mid-summer spending as it faces slower discretionary demand and rising competition from rival sales events. The current round of offers is scheduled to run through 11 July, while supplies last.
