Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir Manoj Sinha met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on 17 July, according to the Prime Minister’s Office and multiple government information channels. Neither side immediately disclosed details of the discussion. The meeting comes the same day the Jammu & Kashmir administration approved creation of a “Lieutenant Governor Sainik Suvidha Kendra,” a single-window facility intended to register, track and resolve grievances of serving soldiers from the union territory. Government orders released earlier on Thursday say the centre will operate from civil secretariats in Jammu and Srinagar and be supported by dedicated information-technology staff and a real-time monitoring dashboard.
