Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav held a series of meetings in New Delhi on 8 July, conferring with senior members of the Union cabinet and the Bharatiya Janata Party’s national leadership. Yadav separately called on Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Ministers Pralhad Joshi, L. Murugan and G. Kishan Reddy, as well as BJP National President and Health Minister J.P. Nadda. State BJP President Hemant Khandelwal accompanied him during several of the courtesy calls. According to statements issued after the meetings, the discussions focused on accelerating central development programmes in Madhya Pradesh, with an emphasis on renewable-energy initiatives such as the PM Surya Ghar rooftop-solar scheme and the PM-KUSUM programme for farmers. Yadav said the state would work with the relevant ministries to speed up implementation and attract additional investment to meet its clean-energy targets.
