President Droupadi Murmu has reshuffled three gubernatorial posts, naming former Jammu & Kashmir deputy chief minister Kavinder Gupta as the new Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, veteran Telugu Desam Party leader Pusapati Ashok Gajapathi Raju as Governor of Goa, and senior Bharatiya Janata Party figure Prof. Ashim Kumar Ghosh as Governor of Haryana. The appointments, announced by Rashtrapati Bhavan on 14 July, follow the President’s acceptance of Brig. (Dr.) B. D. Mishra’s resignation as Ladakh’s Lieutenant Governor. All three appointees will assume charge on dates to be notified by the Union government.
