Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed condolences following a fatal road accident in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh, which resulted in the deaths of five people. The accident occurred on the Meerut-Badaun highway. In response, Modi announced an ex-gratia payment of Rs. 2 lakh from the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund (PMNRF) to the next of kin of each deceased individual. Additionally, those injured in the accident will receive Rs. 50,000 each. The Prime Minister also wished for the speedy recovery of the injured.
