The 7th President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, attended the Partai Solidaritas Indonesia (PSI) congress held on July 19-20, 2025, in Solo. Ahead of the congress, Kaesang Pangarep, Jokowi's son and PSI's chairman, sought his father's guidance and blessing. Kaesang was re-elected as PSI chairman with 65.28% of the vote. Jokowi emphasized transparency and the absence of elite or family ownership within PSI, predicting the party would become strong and influential. Prabowo launched the Koperasi Desa/Kelurahan Merah Putih (Kopdes/Kel Merah Putih) initiative, aiming to establish over 81,000 community cooperatives supported by billions in loans from state banks to boost rural development and food self-sufficiency. He highlighted the cooperative model's basis in mutual cooperation and its role in expanding banking outreach in villages. PSI's leadership stressed unity among candidates and the importance of Jokowi's family's support for the party's survival. Jokowi stated he has not been asked by Kaesang to join PSI's board of trustees. The congress was marked by calls for solidarity and featured remarks from political figures including Prabowo and Dedi Mulyadi.
