Indonesia's Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has revealed that the state suffered losses exceeding Rp 1 trillion due to alleged corruption in the 2024 Hajj quota allocation. The KPK is actively investigating the case, including tracing the chain of command and financial flows involved. As part of the probe, the KPK has imposed travel bans on three individuals linked to the Ministry of Religious Affairs, including former Minister Yaqut Cholil Qoumas. Separately, the Lampung High Prosecutor's Office seized assets worth Rp 6.3 billion connected to corruption in the construction of the Lampung toll road. Other ongoing corruption cases include a project valued at Rp 135.8 billion under investigation by the North Sumatra High Prosecutor's Office, with alleged state losses of Rp 21.6 billion from a Rp 75 billion contract. Additionally, two former employees of PT Pos Indonesia in Bengkulu have been named suspects for misappropriating Rp 3 billion related to stamp duty and pension funds. The Cianjur District Prosecutor's Office confiscated 25 documents from a suspect involved in a Rp 40 billion public street lighting corruption case. These efforts reflect continued anti-corruption enforcement across various sectors in Indonesia.
