Apple on Wednesday released incremental updates across its major operating systems, issuing iOS 18.6.2, iPadOS 18.6.2 and macOS Sequoia 15.6.1. The downloads, available immediately through the Software Update menu on compatible devices, contain unspecified security patches but introduce no new user-facing features. The company often delivers one or two maintenance releases just before unveiling its next-generation software. iOS 26 and macOS Tahoe are both expected to reach the public this fall, following ongoing beta tests. Apple continues to support older hardware as well, extending security fixes to prior macOS versions 14.7.8 and 13.7.8.
iOS 18.6.2 is now available to download, and while it lacks any major new features, it does include important security fixes for your iPhone. https://t.co/f3tihZSEJf
