Apple on Monday released the sixth developer betas of all its major operating systems, including iOS 26, iPadOS 26, macOS Tahoe 26, watchOS 26, tvOS 26 and visionOS 26. The new builds—23A5318c for iOS and iPadOS, 25A5338b for macOS, 23R5340a for watchOS, 23J5339a for tvOS and 23M5322b for visionOS—arrive just six days after the fifth round, underscoring an accelerated testing schedule ahead of the expected public rollout in September. iOS 26 beta 6 focuses on polish rather than headline features. Apple sped up the animation that launches apps, added an onboarding video that highlights the system’s new Liquid Glass interface and introduced six additional variants of the “Reflection” ringtone. The update also refines the Lock Screen clock’s transparency and removes the Camera app’s short-lived “Classic Mode Switching” setting. On the Mac, macOS Tahoe beta 6 extends Apple’s gaming push with a Game Overlay for in-game controls and a dedicated Games store. The release also updates Phone, Preview and Journal apps and continues to integrate Apple Intelligence services, although some AI functions remain exclusive to Apple Silicon hardware. Tahoe is slated to be the final major macOS upgrade for Intel-based machines. New builds of watchOS, tvOS and visionOS primarily deliver bug fixes and performance improvements. Apple is expected to push matching public-beta versions within days as it moves toward golden-master releases that will ship alongside new iPhone and Apple Watch hardware next month.
