Irish police have confirmed that a young girl died following a collision between a car and a van on the R240 at Carrowmore, Glentogher, near Carndonagh in County Donegal. Emergency services were alerted shortly before 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The woman driving the car, a male front-seat passenger and another girl who was a rear passenger were taken to Altnagelvin Hospital in Derry, where they remain in a serious condition. No injuries were reported in the van. The road has been closed for a forensic examination and local diversions are in place. Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has dash-cam footage from the area between 6:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., to contact Buncrana Garda station or the Garda Confidential Line.
