Koryo High School in Hiroshima has announced the replacement of Tetsuyuki Nakai as manager of its baseball team, alongside the departure of Atsuichi Nakai, the team director and Tetsuyuki's son. This leadership change follows the school's withdrawal from the summer national high school baseball championship due to an incident of violence among team members that occurred in January. The school has appointed Kengo Matsumoto, a former player and current coach, as the new manager, and Takao Takiguchi, a faculty member, as the new team director. The school indicated there is a possibility for Tetsuyuki Nakai to return in the future. The violence issue has drawn attention to a broader problem of violent behavior within high school baseball teams in Japan.
