AMD and Nvidia have agreed to pay 15% of revenue from artificial-intelligence chip sales to Chinese customers to the U.S. government as part of a licensing arrangement, according to market briefings on Monday. The move underscores Washington’s continued scrutiny of advanced-technology exports to China under the Trump administration. Investors reacted by sending AMD shares down about 3.2% and Nvidia roughly 1.2% in early New York trading, while futures on the S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100 were little changed. Intel rose around 2% after The Wall Street Journal reported its chief executive is scheduled to discuss chip policy with President Donald Trump at the White House on Monday.
