Members of alternative rock band Jane's Addiction—guitarist Dave Navarro, bassist Eric Avery, and drummer Stephen Perkins—have filed a $10 million lawsuit against lead singer Perry Farrell. The suit stems from an onstage altercation at a Boston concert in September 2024, during which Farrell allegedly assaulted Navarro. The incident led to the cancellation of the remainder of their reunion tour and a planned new album. The lawsuit accuses Farrell of assault and battery, describing the attack as "brutal" and citing "unprovoked anger." In response, Farrell filed a countersuit against Navarro, Avery, and Perkins, accusing them of bullying, harassment, assault, battery, and breach of contract. Farrell's legal team characterized the initial lawsuit as "baseless" and claimed it was an attempt by the band members to isolate and bully him. The dispute has escalated into a legal battle with both sides accusing each other of misconduct, highlighting longstanding tensions within the band that culminated in the onstage fight and subsequent cancellation of their tour and album plans.
