The government of Mexico, led by President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, has announced the creation of the Presidential Commission for Electoral Reform. The commission's primary objective is to conduct a comprehensive diagnosis of the current electoral model and political party system in Mexico. Pablo Gómez has been recognized as a key negotiator of political reforms in the country. President Sheinbaum has not yet disclosed who will succeed Gómez as head of the UIF.
