Sheinbaum described the INE's decisions as inconsistent and stated that her administration will await the ruling of the Tribunal Electoral on the matter. In a related development, Sheinbaum announced the creation of a Presidential Commission for Electoral Reform, which will be led by Pablo Gómez. The commission aims to evaluate and reconsider Mexico's electoral and party system. The full list of commission members is expected to be announced in the coming days.
