Separately, Ricardo Monreal, coordinator of Morena in the Chamber of Deputies, faced scrutiny over his vacation in Spain, which he confirmed was a personal trip celebrating his 40th wedding anniversary and was funded entirely with his own resources. Monreal denied staying at a luxury hotel in Madrid, countering reports suggesting otherwise. Sheinbaum responded to the controversy by reiterating that power must be exercised with humility and acknowledged that while Monreal has the right to vacation with his own funds, those in the Fourth Transformation (4T) movement are ultimately evaluated by the public.
