A group of four to five armed men wearing camouflage broke into the San Pedro Garza García residence of influencer Alfredo Valenzuela late on 23 June while his partner was livestreaming. The intruders restrained the couple and temporarily locked them in a room, according to local media and the creator’s later account. The assailants left with a Lamborghini Urus, several luxury watches and jewellery, and roughly 1 million pesos (US$55,000) in cash. Valenzuela, who has more than 3.5 million subscribers on YouTube, subsequently said the total value of the goods taken exceeded 25 million pesos. Municipal authorities reported recovering the stolen Lamborghini in the parking lot of a shopping centre in the neighbouring Valle Oriente district within hours of the robbery. No arrests have been announced, and the state prosecutor’s office is analysing security-camera footage as part of an ongoing investigation. The episode, broadcast in part during the live video, has renewed scrutiny of security in one of Mexico’s wealthiest suburbs and prompted Valenzuela to publicly urge Governor Samuel García and federal officials to ensure those responsible are brought to justice.
