Mexico City Mayor Claudia Sheinbaum announced the launch of Line 4 of the Cablebús, which will be the longest cable car route in the world, spanning approximately 11.3 to 11.4 kilometers. The new line will connect Ciudad Universitaria (CU) in the Coyoacán borough with the Pedregal de San Nicolás area in the Tlalpan borough. The project includes eight stations and is expected to benefit around 65,000 daily passengers. The journey along this route is estimated to take about 45 minutes. Sheinbaum emphasized that public resources should be invested in public works and social programs rather than personal gain. The announcement was made during an event in Tlalpan, an area Sheinbaum previously governed from 2015 to 2017. The project aims to enhance public transportation options for Mexico City residents by providing an aerial transit alternative between these two boroughs.
